Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc. is adding a combined 49 acres to its Savannah and Tifton, Ga. facilities, according to a company announcement.
"The Savannah and Tifton expansions advance our pace of proactive operational growth in this important marketplace to better serve our loyal base of buyers and sellers," said John Kett, CEO and president of IAA. "Our ability to provide day-to-day storage and services, and additional capacity as needed due to severe weather events, provides unmatched value to our customers."
At the company’s Savannah, Ga. facility, IAA will be adding approximately 30 acres, in order to accommodate additional volume due to customer need as well as potential volume resulting from catastrophe (CAT) responses, according to the company. The location, according to the company, is positioned for effective hurricane response and can accommodate CAT volumes from Northern Florida up North Carolina.
Similarly, IAA will be adding 19 acres to its Tifton, Ga. location to also accommodate additional volume due to customer need and potential volume resulting from CAT responses.
Both locations will be open during the expansion. Auctions at the Savannah, Ga. location take place weekly on Fridays at 9:30 a.m., while auctions at the Tifton, Ga. location take place weekly on Mondays at 9:30 a.m.
