Black Book has partnered with Mobility Sales Solutions and its new Vin-Up program, in order to benefit automotive dealers and their service customers, according to a company announcement.
Through the partnership, automotive dealers that use Vin-Up will be alerted to each vehicle’s latest Black Book value when vehicles that are brought in for service are scanned using Vin-Up scanners or service tablets with the Vin-Up app installed.

The app will also present service customers with a coupon displaying the vehicle's estimated Black Book Value, as an incentive to use that value toward the purchase of a new vehicle.
“A turnkey automotive service customer vehicle buyback program that combines technology such as Vin-Up and the most accurate vehicle values form Black Book will foster a more productive dialogue for dealers and their returning customers,” said Jared Kalfus, executive vice president, revenue, for Black Book. “Customers returning for service aren’t typically in the shopping mindset, so the ability to create a dialogue with an accurate value of their vehicle creates a less adversarial environment to begin a discussion.”
