Ford Pro is launching a certified pre-owned program designed specifically for commercial trucks and vans.
The Ford Pro Advantage program will launch nationwide Oct. 5 and cover Class 1-7 commercial vehicles, including trucks, vans, chassis cabs and cutaways.
Ford said the program is intended to expand access to lower-cost commercial vehicles, particularly for small businesses. Vehicles will be available through Ford's network of more than 700 Ford Pro Commercial Vehicle Centers.
The program includes two certification levels: Ford Pro Gold Certified and Ford Pro Blue Certified.
Gold Certified applies to Ford commercial vehicles ranging from Transit vans through F-750 trucks. Vehicles undergo a 172-point inspection and include a seven-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. Ford said the program also provides a five-year/80,000-mile vehicle warranty.
Blue Certified covers both Ford and non-Ford commercial vehicles up to nine years old with as many as 150,000 miles. Those vehicles undergo a 139-point inspection and include a 90-day comprehensive warranty.
Both certification levels include 24/7 commercial roadside assistance and a money-back guarantee.
Targeting Younger Used Commercial Vehicles
Ford said its sourcing strategy will focus particularly on high-demand commercial vehicles that are approximately two to three years old with between 30,000 and 70,000 miles.
The automaker worked with Commercial Vehicle Center dealers and rental fleet partners to develop the sourcing model.
Certified vehicles will also connect customers with Ford Pro's broader commercial ecosystem, including financing, maintenance and digital vehicle management tools.
Those who use it will also have access to more than 4,300 Ford Mobile Service vans for routine maintenance and light repairs, along with more than 700 Commercial Vehicle Centers and nearly 100 Pro Elite Service Centers.
Commercial financing will be available through Ford Pro FinSimple, including commercial lines of credit, lease options and bundled invoicing.
The Ford Pro Advantage launch expands Ford's existing certified pre-owned strategy into a program specifically built around commercial vehicle buyers and operators.
