Premium sporty and subcompact cars experienced the lowest depreciation within the car segment, as values for the vehicles fell 0.13% and 0.29%, respectively. Luxury cars saw the highest drop in value among cars, falling 0.75% last week.

Depreciation for cars grew slightly last week, but overall values are continuing to stabilize, according to Black Book's Feb. 4 Market Insights report.

Overall car segment values declined 0.56% last week, compared to 0.44% the week before. Overall trucks segment values declined 0.42% last week, compared to 0.44% the week before.

Premium sporty and subcompact cars experienced the lowest depreciation within the car segment, as values for the vehicles fell 0.13% and 0.29%, respectively. Luxury cars saw the highest drop in value among cars, falling 0.75% last week.

Two truck segments saw flat values week-to-week: the subcompact crossover and compact van segments. Meanwhile compact crossovers/SUVs and full-size luxury crossovers/SUVs saw the largest drop in value through the week, falling 0.68% and 0.58% last week.
