Overall wholesale values for the sedan segment remained stable last week though several segments saw values drop, according to Black Book’s Sept. 18 Market Insights report.

Overall values for car segments that Black Book tracks were up marginally on average, however, a majority of the individual segments reported lower values. This week, compact cars were up 0.12%; mid-size cars were up 0.6%; near-luxury cars were up 0.10%; and sporty cars were up 0.08%.

Overall, car segment values increased 0.02% last week, which is lower than the 0.09% increase the week prior.

Wholesale average values in the truck segment showed a drop, as overall values for the segment decreased by 0.09%, lower than the 0.04% reported the prior week.

Most segments among trucks showed declines last week, with only three growing. Mid and full-sized crossover/SUVs increased 0.14% and 0.10, respectively, and compact van values grew by 0.25%
