
Sporty cars continue to do well as the summer months approach.

Sporty and luxury car depreciation improved last week, however, mid-size car depreciation offset the improvement experienced by those segments, according to Black Book’s June 25 Market Insights report.
Sporty and premium sporty car values increased 0.03% and 0.04% last week, compared to where they were the week before. All of the luxury car segments that Black Book tracks also performed better this past week than they did two weeks ago.
Overall wholesale car values depreciated 0.35%, compared to 0.38% the week before. Truck segment values depreciated 0.28%, compared to 0.24% the week before. Wholesale values for both segments remained relatively stable week-over-week.
Full-size crossovers and small pickup values had the performance last week within the truck segment, as values for the respective segments saw no change and rose by 0.02%, compared to the week prior.
The steepest depreciation among trucks came from compact luxury crossovers / SUVs, which depreciated by 0.50%.
