TSD Mobility and UVeye are integrating automated vehicle inspection technology with rental and dealership loaner agreements, aiming to improve transparency and accuracy in fleet management.

The integration connects UVeye’s vehicle condition data directly with the TSD platform, allowing operators to compare a vehicle’s condition at pickup and drop-off within the same rental or loaner record.

When customers receive and return a vehicle, UVeye’s technology scans the vehicle exterior. It automatically pushes any newly detected damage into the TSD system tied to the correct rental or loaner agreement.

The process creates automated before-and-after condition comparisons within a single platform.

Daphna Meroz, vice president of car rental solutions for UVeye, said in a news release that linking inspection data to the rental agreement creates a more objective and transparent process for operators and customers.

“By linking UVeye’s vehicle condition data directly to the rental agreement via TSD, the process becomes objective, transparent, and automated,” Meroz said in a statement. “This protects renters and loaner users, minimizes disputes, and enables the rental and dealership industry to provide a more consistent, trustworthy, and transparent experience.”

The companies said the integrated workflow helps reduce data gaps, consolidate inspection data, and limit human error in vehicle condition reporting.

In addition to damage detection, the system can identify vehicle health indicators such as tire wear, tire bulges, and leaks. The companies said this capability can help operators maintain safer fleets while increasing customer confidence in vehicle conditions.

“TSD and UVeye are helping businesses run more damage-free fleets, which customers want to drive,” said Shawn Concannon, president of TSD, in a news release. “In doing so, operators get a higher remarketing value on their vehicles and maximize long-term revenue.”

TSD develops fleet mobility solutions used by dealerships, automotive manufacturers, public automotive groups, and rental companies. The company said its solutions are used in 92 countries and by more than 16,000 dealerships and car rental companies.

UVeye develops AI-powered vehicle inspection systems that use underbody scanners, tire analyzers and 360-degree exterior detection systems to identify mechanical and cosmetic issues.

The technology has been installed at hundreds of dealerships, fleet operations, and auction lots worldwide.
