Event Solutions International (ESI) will begin operating as Motus One and invest $2 million in technology to streamline 90% of the processes of the automotive mobility company that provides vehicle transportation services and event management for several manufacturers.

The move is part of the Los Angeles-based company's aggressive growth plan to expand across the nation, and it has partnered with La Jolla, Calif.-based Tourmaline Labs, a software vendor. Tourmaline Labs will provide solutions for integrated workflow, task management, fleet management, and driver behavior.

Motus One plans to expand from five to 18 markets by the middle of 2019. Later this year, the company will open locations in Austin, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Chicago. Next year, locations will open in Boston, Atlanta, Miami, Denver, Phoenix, Seattle, and Portland. The company will also add second locations in Los Angeles and New York, as well as maintaining its existing locations in Detroit, Dallas, and Washington, D.C.

"The name change signifies our mission of providing incomparable customer care, which is showcased by investing in cutting-edge technology, while growing our consumer-facing business," said Mike Jackson, president and chief executive. "We understand the changing dynamics of the industry and are poised for rapid growth nationwide, all while recognizing and servicing the evolving needs of our clients."

Motus One will ramp up purchases of high-end vehicles such as Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Ferrari to deploy these vehicles as "paid test drives" for consumers. These owned fleets will be delivered to customers by brand concierges.

This year, the company has been helping Cadillac build out its Book subscription service.

"Motus One has been instrumental in assisting the Cadillac team in expanding the Book by Cadillac vehicle subscription service to Los Angeles and Dallas," said Sean Thornton, lead for Book by Cadillac. "The attention to detail and commitment to serving Book customers allows us to exceed our clients expectations."
