RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA – CU Direct Corp., provider of Credit Union Direct Lending (CUDL) and DecisionApp, a point-of-sale and indirect lending platform for U.S. credit unions, Manheim, and Manheim subsidiary Remarketing Solutions, will host the first-ever National Credit Union Remarketing Conference. The agenda features a range of educational opportunities aimed at helping credit unions maximize vehicle value.

The three-day conference, held Nov. 2-4, at Manheim’s DRIVE Center in Atlanta, will offer presentations by remarketing industry experts and intensive, hands-on sessions, where credit union attendees will learn in an environment that mirrors real-world remarketing.

“DRIVE” stands for “Development, Research, Innovation, Vision, Excellence.” The 145,000-square-foot innovation center includes a 180-seat bidding theater, meeting and training space, 360-degree vehicle imaging booth, paint and body technology, reconditioning space with a damage analysis chamber, and more.

Speaker Paul Seger, vice president of asset remarketing for GE Commercial Finance Fleet Services, is a nationally known expert in the remarketing arena. Seger was an early advocate of real-market valuation based on legitimate, credible data rather than set residual values and led GE’s pioneering work in developing remarketing measurement tools. His session, “An Experienced Look at Remarketing Vehicles,” will demonstrate how the auction forms the foundation for maximizing vehicle values.

Other speakers include Manheim remarketing professionals, including: Tom Webb, chief economist; Hal Logan, senior VP of strategic planning and industry relations; Steve Greenfield, director of strategic analysis and client support; Amy Mills, director of national account marketing; and Mark Brunn, VP and general manager of Remarketing Solutions. Sessions will feature:

  • A live auction in progress.

  • A look at trends in both the wholesale and retail used vehicle market.

  • The role of new technology channels in achieving greater values and benefits.

  • Benchmarking and analytics and their role in evaluating returns.

  • The value to credit unions of remarketing exclusivity.

“The value of aggregation in remarketing credit union inventory is key to achieving the best price for their vehicles,” said Jerry Neemann, COO and SVP of CU Direct. “By partnering with Manheim and Remarketing Solutions to improve credit unions’ remarketing expertise, we will be able to offer many benefits and services at one national price that would not be available to credit unions working alone.” The conference will show attendees how to use the numerous tools that Manheim and Remarketing Solutions provide to increase their vehicle values and help credit unions’ bottom line. “When credit unions work together, they are better able to compete in the marketplace. It strengthens the entire industry,” said Neemann.

“The conference will allow us to hear directly from credit unions about their specific needs,” said Mark Brunn, vice president and general manager of Manheim’s Remarketing Solutions. “We can then give credit unions the tools to create successful and efficient remarketing programs, supporting them as a partner every step of the way.”

Attendance at the conference will be limited to 180 participants. Registration fee is $249. For more information, contact Shaeli Kersee at (877) 744-2345, ext 2308, or by e-mail, Shaeli.kersee@cudirect.com.
