Fleet Industry Symposium to Be Held at Manheim's DRIVE Center Nov. 17-19
STOCKBRIDGE, GA – The National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) Atlanta Chapter's Fleet Industry Symposium 2005 will be held Nov. 17-19 at Manheim's DRIVE Center in Stockbridge, just outside of Atlanta.
STOCKBRIDGE, GA – The National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) Atlanta Chap-ter’s Fleet Industry Symposium 2005 will be held Nov. 17-19 at Manheim’s DRIVE Center in Stockbridge, just outside of Atlanta.
The event will be co-hosted by NAFA’s Atlanta Chapter and DRIVE. Topics to be covered during the Symposium include the remarketing process, use of guidebooks, value of reconditioning, and projected residual values. Registration fee is $125. Registration must be submitted by Nov. 14.

Morning:

8:45: Symposium Kickoff – NAFA Welcome.
9-9:45: Value of Reconditioning: David Munnikhuysen, Manheim.
Discussion of the value of reconditioning and an opportunity to see cutting-edge reconditioning technology applied in a laboratory environment.
9:45: Remarketing 101: Steve Greenfield, Manheim.
Review of the entire vehicle lifecycle, emphasizing the value different parties bring to the remar-keting relationship.
10:15-10:30: Break
10:30-11:30: Macro Factors Impacting Your Portfolio: Maryann Keller, president, Maryann Keller & Associ-ates, and Tom Webb, Manheim.
Review the recent past and upcoming trends that will impact the commercial fleet industry. Specifi-cally, how the new car market will impact residual values and “effective” depreciation.
11:30-noon: Auction Theory: Eric Overby, Goizueta Business School.
To communicate the value of a competitive bidding environment to maximize price realization – examples used will be from outside the automotive realm. Session will conclude with a “mock” auction in the DRIVE theater.
