Checkbooks and hearts opened wide on June 23 at DAA Huntsville as local dignitaries and civic leaders joined dealers from across the southeast, for their 11th-anniversary sale. An annual event, complete with a cookout, live music, and prizes, the activities were pinnacled by a special donation to The Boys and Girls Club of North Alabama in an amount exceeding $25,000.
“For the past several years, we have used this special event to give back to some very deserving charities that impact our community.” stated Roger Fields, General Manager of DAA Huntsville “2015 is our biggest year to date, and it’s because our dealers and our staff care about more than just selling vehicles.”
The funds were a combination of moneys acquired from auction fees, as well as donations from partnering dealers, and the numerous companies that fall under the umbrella of City Enterprises, the parent company of DAA Huntsville.
Beth Wheeler Morring, Director of Resource Development for The Boys and Girls Club of North Alabama said, “The fact that these auction partners were willing to support us locally speaks volumes about DAA of Huntsville. Because of their overwhelming generosity and support, the lives of the children in our community will truly be changed”.
Dealers Auto Auction of Huntsville is one of 5 auction locations owned by David Andrews, president of City Enterprises.
