CAS Automotive Launches Remarketing Service for Damaged, Surplus Equipment
Damaged Equipment expands CAS Automotive’s vehicle remarketing model to commercial equipment, targeting fleet operators, insurers, equipment dealers, and rental companies.

The service extends CAS Automotive’s damaged-vehicle and total-loss disposition model into commercial equipment and machinery.

CAS Automotive has formally launched Damaged Equipment, an on-demand remarketing service designed to help fleet operators and other asset owners dispose of damaged, surplus, aging, and end-of-life commercial equipment.
The service extends CAS Automotive’s damaged-vehicle and total-loss disposition model into commercial equipment and machinery. It connects sellers with the company’s network of buyers, recyclers, and rebuilders, with the goal of accelerating disposition and maximizing asset recovery.
“Damaged Equipment started with the idea that the model we built for damaged and salvage vehicles could work for other high-value assets — and it has,” said Frank Camoun, CEO of CAS Automotive. “Today’s launch isn't just a new website; it's CAS Automotive stepping into a new category, with the brand, service, and infrastructure to support it at scale.”
Pilot Expands Into Broader Remarketing Service
Damaged Equipment began operating in late 2025 as a proof of concept aimed primarily at fleet operators, sole proprietors, and small businesses looking to sell equipment and machinery they no longer needed.
CAS Automotive said the pilot allowed the company to validate demand and refine its asset evaluation and transaction processes before formally introducing the service to a wider market.
The company is now expanding the service to insurers and third-party administrators, as well as equipment dealers and rental companies.
“We spent the second half of 2025 proving this model works for sellers who simply want a straightforward way to move equipment they no longer need,” said Brian Driehorst, vice president of business development at CAS Automotive. “Now we're ready to bring Damaged Equipment to other industries and operate efficiently at scale across the U.S.”
For fleet operators, the service is positioned as another disposition option for equipment that may fall outside traditional vehicle remarketing channels, particularly assets that are damaged, nearing the end of their useful lives, or otherwise difficult to sell.
CAS Automotive said Damaged Equipment uses its existing global buyer network to remarket those assets. The Miami-based company operates vehicle acquisition, remarketing, and distribution businesses serving customers in more than 80 countries.
New Online Quoting Process
As part of the formal launch, CAS Automotive also introduced a new Damaged Equipment website and updated branding.
The website includes an online quoting process intended to allow sellers to submit equipment for evaluation and receive offers more quickly. CAS Automotive said the platform is designed to provide sellers across equipment categories with a guaranteed offer and a simplified process for moving unwanted assets.
“This provides sellers across all equipment categories a fast, guaranteed offer on their assets and an easier way to move their equipment,” Driehorst said.
CAS Automotive was founded in 1985 and is headquartered in Miami.
