Several companies across the fleet, telematics and vehicle transportation industries have announced leadership changes. Dave Brown joined BrickHouse GPS as chief revenue officer, while PRO-VISION promoted Dan Strock to vice president of sales. Auto Driveaway promoted Matthew Salm to president and chief operating officer and named CEO Rodney Ruth chairman. Diana Holland also joined Proaction as a strategic advisor.
BrickHouse GPS, Dave Brown
BrickHouse GPS appointed Dave Brown as chief revenue officer. Brown will lead the company’s B2B sales and marketing initiatives as it expands following its recent recapitalization.
Brown brings more than 30 years of experience in software as a service, telematics, private equity and revenue leadership. He previously worked at Fleetmatics, which later became part of Verizon Connect. During his tenure, Brown helped grow the company’s sales organization from 20 representatives to more than 330 across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
That expansion contributed to Fleetmatics’ initial public offering in 2012 and its eventual acquisition by Verizon for $2.4 billion.
Brown has also held leadership positions at private equity-backed software companies, including Vector Solutions.
“Dave has helped scale exactly the kind of businesses we are building BrickHouse GPS to become,” said Todd Morris, founder and CEO of BrickHouse GPS. “His experience at Fleetmatics, his work with private equity-backed software companies, and his track record building high-performing revenue teams make him the right leader for this next phase.”
Brown said his focus will help others understand the focus of telematics.
“BrickHouse GPS has built a strong reputation for making fleet and asset tracking accessible and effective, and I’m excited to help scale that impact for customers and partners,” Brown said.
PRO-VISION, Dan Strock
PRO-VISION promoted Dan Strock to vice president of sales after Martin Schena retired.
During his tenure as director of sales, Strock has supported commercial fleet and helped bring PRO-VISION’s fleet safety products to market.
“Dan has been an important part of Pro-Vision’s growth and customer success for many years,” said Michael Finn, president and CEO of Pro-Vision. “His experience, product knowledge, and commitment to our customers make him the right leader to guide our sales organization into its next chapter.”
“I’m honored to step into this role and continue working with the talented team at PRO-VISION,” Strock said. “I look forward to building on that foundation.”
Auto Driveaway, Matthew Salm and Rodney Ruth
Auto Driveaway promoted Matthew Salm to president and chief operating officer. Rodney Ruth, who previously served as president and CEO, will remain CEO and has also been named chairman.
Salm has been the COO since 2019, covering everything from information technology to HR.
Salm says, “I am excited to step into the role of President and continue to help lead Auto Driveaway forward. I am immensely proud of our employee culture, commitment to safety, and the relentless pursuit of operational excellence that allows us to deliver the best customer experience in the transportation logistics industry. I look forward to continuing to build on 74 years of legacy and experience and evolving the organization to meet our customers’ needs.”
Ruth has served as Auto Driveaway’s president and CEO since 2006. During his tenure, the company completed several acquisitions, expanded its services and integrated new technologies.
“Auto Driveaway is well positioned for substantial growth, and Matt’s expertise, well-rounded leadership experience, and relentless pursuit of continuous improvement are invaluable,” Ruth said.
Proaction, Diana Holland
Diana Holland has joined Proaction as a strategic advisor. Founder of Cavis and fleet executive, Holland brings more than 26 years of experience at Merchants Fleet.
Holland will advise Proaction on a variety of levels. These include market strategy, client needs, technology adoption, and modular fleet systems and services.
“Fleet organizations approach modernization differently. Some are ready for full replacement, while others need a phased path, and both can be right depending on their resources and goals,” Holland said. “Proaction brings real ambition, intelligence, and a modular approach to complex fleet challenges. My focus will be reading market signals early, keeping the client’s point of view close to every decision, and providing the kind of strategic counsel a board typically offers without the formal structure.”
Holland’s experience spans fleet operations, supplier strategy, technology, and financial performance. She received the 2022 Women in Supply Chain Award and AFLA’s 2020 President’s Award and has remained active across the fleet community through AFLA Women in Fleet Management, NAFA, and the Conference of Automotive Remarketing.
Holland’s experience is in operations, tech, supplier strategy, and finance. She was the recipient of the 2022 Women in Supply Chain Award and AFLA’s 2020 President’s Award. She is a part of AFLA Women in Fleet Management, NAFA, and the Conference of Automotive Remarketing.
