Carvana has opened up a new car vending machine in Washington, D.C., making this the third vending machine the company has opened this year, and the 10th overall, according to a company announcement.
The coin-operated vending machine is eight stories tall and holds up to 30 vehicles.
Other cities that Carvana operates vending machines in include: Houston; Austin, Texas; San Antonio; Dallas; Nashville, Tenn.; Raleigh, N.C.; Charlotte, N.C.; Jacksonville, Fla.; and Tampa, Fla.
Carvana first began operating in Washington, D.C. in 2016, when it began offering next-day delivery to the residents of the city. Since then the company has expanded into various other cities, and has grown its inventory to more than 10,000 used vehicles.
AI is no longer a luxury but the baseline for profitability in 2026. Auto haulers that adopt these tools now will quickly outpace those that use manual workflows or take a wait-and-see approach.
