ADESA, a business unit of KAR Auction Services, announced that Jason McClenahan will now serve as general manager at ADESA Ottawa. In this new role, McClenahan will be responsible for continuing to grow the auction’s market share while maintaining a positive and productive culture for both internal and external customers.

“I’m honored to lead this experienced team at ADESA Ottawa,” said McClenahan. “There’s a lot of history here, having been in business 25 years this June. It’s an exciting time, and we plan to open our tenth auction block soon.”

McClenahan has more than 15 years of experience in the industry, serving most recently as assistant general manager at ADESA Ottawa. He started with ADESA as a part-time block clerk on auction day while still in high school and has held various roles since, including vehicle check-in, fleet coordinator, operations manager and sales manager. He spent 12 years as a member of the ADESA Vancouver team and his last three years with ADESA Ottawa.

McClenahan is a graduate of the Western College of Auctioneering.

Joanne Marzsin, who served as ADESA Ottawa general manager for 10 years, will remain with the company in a new role as director of financial compliance for ADESA’s North American operations.

“Joanne has been incredibly committed to our success during the years,” said Henderson. “We are pleased that we will continue to have her expertise in this new position.”
