CHICAGO – Driveitaway Inc., an upstream remarketing program for commercial fleet vehicles, announced that Wilmar Inc. of Charlotte, N.C., will offer the reDrive remarketing platform to its client base of small fleets, through LeasePlan’s Network Division.
Family-run Wilmar Inc. is a Southeastern independent vehicle management company, with approximately 4,500 vehicles in service. For 25 years, Wilmar has offered a full range of leasing services, including assistance with fleet purchase and disposal.
The reDrive brand platform will allow Wilmar’s clients to offer their end-of-lease cars, vans, and trucks for sale to their drivers and employees before they come off lease. Under the program, fleet managers realize substantially better net proceeds compared to traditional remarketing channels, and buyers can purchase at close-to-wholesale prices. With reDrive, prospective buyers can view comprehensive online information about each vehicle, including a third-party inspection report with multiple pictures and a full maintenance history.
