Wheels honored its top regional auto auction facilities for 2013 at an awards ceremony September 4 in Indianapolis.
The Auction Performance Awards ceremony, held as part of the National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) Annual Convention, acknowledged remarketing vendors that delivered the best sales performance results for Wheels clients over the past year. Wheels presented the following honorees with Top Performing Auction awards for their respective regions:
Manheim Milwaukee – Central Region
Manheim Harrisonburg – Eastern Region
Carolina Auto Auction – Southeast Region
Manheim Dallas – Western Region
Wheels also recognized the following recipients for their commitment to maintaining the highest quality auction facilities and services:
ADESA Kansas City – Central Region
Bel Air Auto Auction – Eastern Region
Charleston Auto Auction – Southeast Region
Manheim Portland – Western Region
The Wheels remarketing network includes more than 150 carefully chosen and well-qualified vendors. In addition to traditional auction events, these vendors host Wheels Promotional Sales events, which are national auction forums target-marketed to a specific selection of dealers that have historically placed a high premium on the types of vehicles available during the event. These sales typically yield very favorable resale proceeds – over the past couple of years, Promotional Sale proceeds exceeded Black Book Commercial Value Index by an average of 8-10 percent across the country.
The Wheels network also consists of various wholesale channels, including Web-based competitive bid programs as well as the U.S. Open remarketing platform. Clients who wish to offer their drivers or other employees a chance to purchase vehicles coming off lease can use the WheelsDirect Program. An “upstream” remarketing tool, WheelsDirect facilitates the sale of vehicles to drivers and employees through a propriety online system.
