ATLANTA – Two Manheim operating locations in Florida are consolidating to give customers access to a wider variety of vehicles while creating a one-stop shopping experience.
Beginning with a special June 6th “Cargaritaville” sale, Manheim’s Central Florida Auto Auction and Orange County Auto Auction will combine operations under the banner of Manheim Central Florida Auto Auction.
Under the new arrangement, all regular sales will shift to central Florida, with fleet and factory vehicles moving through the lanes in their current Wednesday morning sale and dealer consignment and lower-end units running in an afternoon time slot.
Butch Herdegan will serve as general manager – auction operations, while Tony Markese will be general manager – service businesses. Personnel at the Orange County auction will shift to Central Florida.
The Orange County site will eventually become a dedicated total resource auctions salvage sale. The two facilities, located next to each other, sit on about 275 acres.
“This change improves the experience we deliver to our customers who will no longer have to attend sales at both locations to buy and sell vehicles,” said Markese. “We’ll now be able to offer bigger, better sales and an easier way of doing business for both buyers and sellers.”
To commemorate the consolidation, the Cargaritaville event will feature a “beach bash” the night before the sale (June 5), with prizes including watercraft, fishing trips, Jimmy Buffet concert tickets, and other beach-related giveaways.
Manheim Central Florida Auto Auction is a 12-lane facility with a state-of-the-art reconditioning facility, located just minutes from Orlando International Airport.
