ATLANTA – Manheim’s Auction Way Sales Auto Auction in Alsip, Ill., has joined the Total Resource Auctions (TRA) network, becoming the 16th Manheim auction to offer advanced salvage auction services.
The auction will have its first TRA salvage sale on Jan. 17 at 10 a.m. The auction will conduct TRA sales every Tuesday at 10 a.m. in addition to weekly auctions on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. Buyers are able to participate in the lanes or online via Manheim Simulcast.
Currently the auction has one salvage lane and is running approximately 100 vehicles per week on average at its TRA sales. McKinney hopes the auction will be able to increase the number of salvage vehicles to 200 to 300 a week after some time.
Auction Way Sales Auto Auction is a 44-acre facility with a 10-lane capacity.
TRA allows buyers and sellers to securely exchange damaged, inoperative and salvage vehicles through Manheim’s TRA locations and Web-based products, including Simulcast.
With the addition of Auction Way Sales Auto Auction, Manheim now has 16 facilities conducting TRA sales. More locations are expected to be added throughout the year.
