Top-Performing Auctions Named at CAR
CPS (Consumer Portfolio Services) announced its top performing auctions through its Auction Recognition Program for 2013 at the CAR conference in Las Vegas in early March.

CPS (Consumer Portfolio Services) announced its top performing auctions through its Auction Recognition Program for 2013 at the CAR conference in Las Vegas in early March. Categories included: Best Overall High CPS Volume Auction, Best Sales Retention, Best Fleet Lease Department, and Best Overall Low CPS Volume Auction.
The 2013 winners included:
Best Overall Auction (High CPS volume): ABC Birmingham

ABC Birmingham: Best Overall Auction (High CPS Volume) Becky Thomason, Alison Fagan, Russ Sapp, Courtney Finley and Roy Caldwell
ABC Birmingham, headed up by Executive VP Jim Phillips, GM Russ Sapp, and AGM Roy Caldwell has once again been named the Best Overall Auction for CPS. This auction continues to provide outstanding sales results and excellent customer service year after year, according to CPS. Previous CPS awards include 2008, 2009, and 2010 Best Overall Auction Awards as well as the Best Sales Retention Award in 2012. The auction finished 2013 with an overall Black Book percentage of 94.12 percent, finishing third in the CPS ranking system for sales retention. The sales results accompanied by ABC Birmingham’s commitment to great customer service make them the total package and we are pleased to recognize them once again as our Best Overall Auction.
Best Sales Retention: Adesa Lexington

Adesa Lexington: Best Sales Retention Luke Honaker, Lindsey Aldridge and Josh Pierce
Adesa Lexington, driven by GM Jason Martin and Fleet/Lease Manager Luke Honaker are no stranger to the CPS award program as this is their 3rd CPS Best Sales Retention award (2008, 2009, and 2013). Adesa Lexington also earned the Best Overall Auction Award in 2011. Adesa Lexington finished 2013 with a stout 94.61 percent of average, adjusted Black Book. This category was hotly contested as the top four auctions finished within 0.73 percentage points of each other, according to CPS. The staff at Adesa Lexington kept the lanes packed with a variety of dealers from franchise stores to independent wholesalers for every CPS sale through aggressive marketing techniques and online dealer participation. Adesa LiveBlock helped drive up the prices as over 11 percent of CPS vehicles were sold via the Internet at this location. Inside Coordinator Lindsey Aldridge and Outside Coordinator Josh Pierce play a key role in the success making sure all client directions are followed.
Best Fleet/Lease Department: Manheim Harrisonburg

Manheim Harrisonburg: Fleet/Lease Department of the Year Laura Seekford, Cindy Judy, Robert (Biggin) Vernon, Terree Rinaca, Mike Scott (CPS), Lee Barbato
For the first time, Manheim Harrisonburg has earned the Best Fleet/Lease Department Award from CPS. The team at Manheim Harrisonburg works countless hours to provide outstanding customer service and to ensure that every detail of the CPS account is in order. GM Karl Kiracofe, Fleet/Lease Manager Lee Barbato, Inside Coordinator Terree Rinaca and Outside Coordinator Robert “Biggin” Vernon are all instrumental in this auction’s success, according to CPS. Manheim Harrisonburg is currently one of the largest CPS volume auctions in the country and they are able to handle that amount of inventory with minimal or no issues.

Adesa Seattle: Best Overall Auction (Low CPS Volume) Nicole Barker, Dan Watt & Christina (Chris) Stetler
For the second year in a row, solid sales results and great customer service propelled Adesa Seattle to their second CPS Auction Recognition Award. General Manager Ken Osborn, Fleet Lease Administrator Nicole Barker, and Commercial Accounts Manager Dan Watts have done a fantastic job with the CPS account, according to the company. Even with CPS being a smaller account at its sale, Adesa Seattle still provided all of the necessary resources to ensure top notch sales results and flawless customer service.
