OKLAHOMA CITY – The date is set for the 2nd Annual Bedlam Bash and BBQ at Dealers Auto Auction of Oklahoma City. On Wed. and Thurs., Oct. 10 and 11, DAA/OKC will hold its biggest event of the year, with two sales, an evening of entertainment, and a tailgate party.
“Last year’s Bedlam Bash and BBQ scored big with buyers and sellers alike, and if the buzz among our customers is any indication, this year’s event will draw even bigger crowds and showcase far greater consignment numbers,” said Bruce Beam, DAA/OKC general manager. “We’re planning on more than 3,500 vehicles, and we expect to see more than 1,500 dealers over the course of the two days. It’s going to be great fun, with food, prizes and entertainment, and an even greater opportunity for buying and selling vehicles!”
“DAA/OKC’s Bedlam Bash and BBQ takes its name from the athletics rivalry between the University of Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma State University Cowboys,” said Bruce Beam, DAA/OKC general manager. “We’re die-hard college sports fans here in Oklahoma, and we borrowed the ‘Bedlam’ name to give our customers an idea of the kind of excitement they’ll find here at the auction on sale day.”
The Bedlam Bash and BBQ will kick-off on Wed., Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. with the “Scrimmage Sale,” a specially scheduled GM Sponsored Closed Auction, which will include 500 vehicles on two auction lanes.
Doors open at 7:30 a.m. on Thurs., Oct. 11 for the Bedlam Bash and BBQ sale, which starts at 8:30 a.m. Once the sale is underway, the arena will be a flurry of activity, as dealers and employees, dressed in the colors of their favorite college or pro football teams, work together to buy and sell vehicles from GMAC, Ford Motor Credit, Enterprise Leasing, HSBC, Remarketing Solutions, Hertz Carco of Arkansas, AmeriCredit, and more.
Prizes will be given away during the sale, including autographed University of Oklahoma football helmets and commemorative Heisman footballs. Each attending dealer will receive a University of Oklahoma mini-football for autographing. The auction will hold drawings for $10,000 in cash at the end of the day.
