WATKINS GLEN, NY – State Line Auto Auction will hold it’s inaugural "State Line Vintage Auto Auction at The Glen" on September 12 at 1 p.m. in Watkins Glen, N.Y. In conjunction with Watkins Glen International, State Line plans to offer classic vehicles of all types. This event will feature vintage race cars, special interest vehicles, muscle cars, sports cars, street rods, and Corvettes.
For more than 28 years, State Line Auto Auction has operated and developed into one of the premier wholesale auto auctions in the country. As a "dealer only" auction, State Line may not be as well known in the collector car circle — but according to a company spokesperson, this auction is for real!
State Line is New York's largest independent auto auction with a weekly consignment of more than 1,100 vehicles. In 2008, the auction offered more than 67,000 vehicles for sale and sold more than 47,000 of them.
According to the auction, when it comes to collector, antique, and special interest vehicles, State Line has experience. The auction has hosted two antique and classic sales every year for more than 20 years. These events, held at the auction, are restricted to dealer customers only and are not open to the public. But now, anyone can have the opportunity to experience State Line's auction expertise by participating in the first-ever "State Line Vintage Auto Auction at The Glen."
The first-ever "State Line Vintage Auto Auction at The Glen" is being held in conjunction with the U.S. Vintage Grand Prix Weekend at Watkins Glen International. This year's featured marque is Morgan. The Glen will have one of the largest showings of Morgan models ever assembled.
