WAVERLY, NY - Tammy Murray and David Corneby have become the newest members of State Line Auto Auction’s “Twenty-Year Club." They are the seventh and eighth employees to be honored.

With State Line Auto Auction having opened in 1981, both Murray and Corneby have been instrumental to the growth enjoyed by the auction during the past two decades. Murray started as a part time vehicle driver and soon worked her way into a full time position. One of her first full time tasks was marking vehicles in the lot prior to sale. Her hard work and dedication allowed her to advance through the office, spending a great deal of time in the dealer registration department.

Murray now oversees the Accounts Receivable functions at State Line, and she is a well-respected friend to the State Line dealer family.

Corneby started in the vehicle reconditioning shop where he exhibited his great work ethic. After a time, he progressed to management positions throughout the shop. Soon after State Line received the contract to sell vehicles for General Motors, Murray moved to an “inside” job dealing with the “factory” vehicles. He has more recently been the auction’s manager for General Motors Sponsored Auctions. Under his leadership State Line recently was honored by General Motors with the top award nationally for Operational Excellence.

Corneby is also known and respected by the State Line dealer community for being a great service provider.

“Quite simply, what makes State Line Auto Auction so successful is our great staff,” says Jeff Barber, State Line Auto Auction’s owner. “Tammy and David are much more than just employees, they really take our business to heart. They have always been available to tackle whatever tasks are required. We have a culture around here whereby everyone that works here can help with whatever is needed, and Tammy and David exemplify that attitude. Our dealers know that if they need something, any of our staff will do their best to help them, and Tammy and David are always right there on the front line.”

State Line Auto Auction is a Dealer Only wholesale vehicle auction located in Waverly, N.Y. The auction is a member of the National Auto Auction Association and operates on the ASI computer system as well as AutoIMS and Internet Sales thru On Line Ringman plus the Auction Pipeline technology platform. State Line is also a founding member of ServNet Auctions, a network of high performance Independent auto auctions across the country.
