ROBSTOWN, TEXAS – Sparkling City Auto Auction celebrated its last sale of 2005 with the Great Gator Giveaway. On Dec. 20, dealers crowded into Sparkling City’s auction arena waiting to find out whose names would be drawn to win one of two 2005 John Deere Gators, valued at $6,000 each.
Qualifying began in August for a single Gator, when every buyer’s name was entered into the drawing for every purchase made. Dealers were able to qualify through the Dec. 13 sale. Midway through the promotion, however, auction management decided it was only fair to include auction consignors in the drawing, so a second Gator was added. Auction clerks researched all vehicles sold from the beginning of the promotion and entered each seller’s name into the drawing for every transaction. With both buyer and seller qualifying for the drawing, the odds of one dealer winning not one but two gators were even better.
Gator winners were Paul Walton and Russell Mayfield of AllStar Isuzu, and Glen Vasquez of Cars 4 Cash.”
