FLINT, MI - In spite of snow and freezing temperatures, sales at Flint Auto Auction are off to a strong start in 2010, and the auction has announced several February promotions that are attracting more buyers than ever to the auction lanes.
At its weekly Chrysler Financial sales in February, Flint Auto Auction is holding a special cash promotion. The "Game Show Extravaganza" promotion will feature different games each week, from a treasure chest to a spin-to-win wheel, with cash giveaways with every car sold. Chrysler Financial sells every week at Flint Auto Auction, offering approximately 380 vehicles every Wednesday.
On February 17, in the Avis/Budget and Enterprise lanes, dealers enjoyed roasted nuts while bidding on a selection of rental units. All dealers purchasing from Avis/Budget qualified for a turn at the Plinko Board, with an opportunity to win cash prizes from $20 to $100 per Plinko drop.
Auction General Manage Lawrence Cubitt reports that sales of fleet/lease and repo units have been consistently strong at Flint Auto Auction, and that the addition of a new account - Vehicle Remarketing Services (CAC) - to its lease lane has pushed the auction's sales percentage even higher.
"VRS has been a tremendous addition to our sale-day lineup at Flint Auto Auction," said Cubitt, noting that VRS runs every other week at 8am at Flint Auto Auction. "Since joining us in January, VRS has sold 91% of its units. We see big crowds in the lane bright and early when VRS runs. We're very pleased to note that excellent attendance, enthusiastic bidding and outstanding retentions are the order of the day at every VRS sale."
Flint Auto Auction offers more than 1,800 vehicles at its weekly Wednesday consignment sale. In addition to inventory from Chrysler Financial, Avis/Budget and VRS, Flint features units from GMAC, Oxford Bank, RSA and Remarketing Solutions. Flint Auto Auction also holds a GM Sponsored closed factory auction every other week on Wednesday, offering an overage of 400 vehicles per sale and welcoming 250 GM dealers, who buy both in the lane and online. Flint was named the #1 auction in the country for General Motors for 2007 and 2008.
A member of the ServNet Auction Group, Flint Auto Auction operates under the Auction Pipeline technology platform which delivers live auction lane bidding online and provides market reports of auction sale results and available inventory while allowing dealers to source vehicles from auctions nationwide. Flint Auto Auction is a member of the National Auto Auction Association and uses the AutoIMS inventory management system. For more information about Flint Auto Auction, go to www.flintaa.com.
