PSA Group has created Carventura.com, a peer-to-peer used car marketplace, as a way to bolster its presence in the peer-to-peer marketplace in France, according to a company announcement.
In France, the used car peer-to-peer marketplace accounts for 3.8 million sales every year. One problem with the peer-to-peer marketplace, however, is how insecure it is, PSA Group noted in its announcement.
Carventura is PSA Group’s solution for that problem, the company added.
Some of the features that the new marketplace will offer include Carventura Advisor, a solution that will appraise the value of a vehicle for sale based on how that type of vehicle is performing in the used car market.
All vehicles sold through the marketplace will also be inspected by independent experts and be put through a 200-point check. If a vehicle does not pass the inspection then an ad for the vehicle will not be published on the website.
Carventura will also offer its users secure online transactions through an anti-fraud solution, a six-month mechanical breakdown warranty, paperwork management and delivery in metropolitan France.
