Prime Auto Auction, a wholly owned unit of Auto Nation – the nation’s largest new and used-vehicle retailer – has announced its plans to pursue the fleet/lease segment of the auction industry.
Prime Auto Auction is the exclusive auction for trade-ins and frontline units from The Power Auto Group, which operates 42 franchise stores in the Los Angeles basin area. According to Bill Lewis, Prime Auto Auction's new Fleet Lease Manager, it is now looking to add lease and fleet returns to the auction's line up of vehicles.
"Prime not only has the trade-ins from Power, but also from other dealers as well. A large number of new car stores are bringing their vehicles to Prime for Auction. The addition of fleet/lease could mean higher prices for sellers, and an increase in dealer consignment," Lewis explains.
The auction currently consigns 600 plus vehicles each week. Sale day is each Friday at 10:00 a.m. Prime has added more lanes to accommodate more vehicles, as well as expanded the asphalt to incorporate the remaining 8.5 acres of property, for a total of 24 acres. Prime Auto Auction is located at 20151 South Main St., Carson, CA 90745. They can be contacted at 310-380-4626.
