REDWOOD CITY, CA – OPENLANE, Inc., an online auction company in North America for automotive dealers to buy and sell wholesale vehicles announced it will host its first Client Advisory Board meeting May 4-5, at the Fairmont Hotel in Scottsdale, Ariz. The board meeting is an exclusive invitation-only event that will feature key insight from OPENLANE executives on automotive remarketing trends, best practices and the current state of the industry.
OPENLANE has recently experienced the most successful several months in its 10-year history. Broken sales records for both 2009 and Q1 2010, as well as recent partnerships with industry leaders in transportation, repossessions and vehicle history reports, are just a few indications that the company’s growth continues on the tremendous upward trajectory it has experienced over the past 10 years. The Client Advisory Board is an opportunity for OPENLANE to provide ongoing education and insight to its valued consignor and dealer communities on how to increase operational efficiencies and remain competitive in the automotive industry.
OPENLANE CEO Daniel Farrar will kick off the event with a keynote address, providing attendees with a recap of the company’s growth and success over the past year, that includes an overview of the company’s momentum with programs such as iDEAL, OPENLANE’s dealer-to-dealer network, and key partnerships within the repossessions, fleet and rental industries. Newly appointed President Peter Kelly will also speak on OPENLANE’s successes and company performance, including recent record-breaking sales and continued growth.
This educational event will also feature commentary from additional OPENLANE executives who will provide the audience a behind-the-scenes perspective on maximizing the use of OPENLANE’s open auction for increased efficiency and success. Additional topics for discussion will include a technology overview and update with Chief Information Officer Gary Edelstein; an overview of dealer services with VP of U.S. Operations James O’Brien, as well as an update on transportation services with VP of Transport Michael Briggs.
“Our goal for this Client Advisory Board meeting is to create an open and interactive forum where our customers can get first-hand information from OPENLANE executives on creating the best business practices possible – an essential asset in today’s challenging economy,” said Daniel Farrar. “This exclusive event provides a great deal of value for both OPENLANE and audience members because it provides us with an opportunity to engage with each other and discuss high priority issues in our industry. Not only do our customers benefit from this interaction, but their invaluable feedback provides us with the information needed to continue catering our services to their needs and further our commitment to excellent customer service.”
