ATLANTA – Manheim has named Lynn Morgan vice president of Manheim Information and Consulting Services (MICS), a newly created business unit within the company that will consolidate Manheim’s data analytics and consulting practices into one area.
Morgan, the former executive director of the Manheim DRIVE Center, will lead the development of MICS, which will offer a variety of information and consulting services to help Manheim clients make better decisions about where, when and how to remarket their vehicles.
In her new role, Morgan will report to a six-member board of directors composed of Dean Eisner, Manheim president and CEO; Ralph Liniado, senior vice president of development; Hal Logan, senior vice president of strategic planning and industry relations; Nick Peluso, senior vice president, customer relations & strategies; Mike Lang, vice president of marketing and product development; and Sandy Schwartz, president of Cox Auto Trader.
“Manheim has believed for a long time that every participant in the used car marketplace benefits greatly from the strategic use of information and data,” said Eisner. “With MICS, we are creating a centralized information platform that will allow us to put the data to work for our customers in ways we haven’t even dreamed of before now.”
MICS brings together a vast array of Manheim’s data assets under one umbrella, offering customers a wide range of customized information and consulting services. Some of the services MICS will offer include:
Custom analytics and consulting
Market research
Macro-economic trend reporting
Strategic planning and Futurecasting sessions
The MICS team, which consists of Morgan, Manheim Chief Economist Tom Webb, Director of Communications George Largay, and a team of analysts, will be structured so that “segment specialists” within the larger group will be able to offer customers even more detailed research and analysis focusing on their specific needs.
Morgan joined Manheim in 2004 as executive director of the Manheim DRIVE Center. She began her career with Cox in 1989 and has held a variety of positions with several Cox companies, most recently as president and CEO of the Women’s United Soccer Association, of which Cox owned a partial interest.
Donald Foy, formerly the director of operations for the Manheim DRIVE Center, has been promoted to executive director of the Manheim DRIVE Center.
