COLUMBIA, MO – Kevin Brown, owner and general manager of the Missouri Auto Auction has announced two major departmental changes, with the promotions of Brandon Worthington to fleet/lease manager and Justin Brown to dealer sales manager. The appointments come as the auction anticipates a brisk 2nd quarter, with an influx of dealer activity and increasing consignment numbers from fleet/lease accounts.

“Brandon Worthington is the right man for the job,” said Kevin Brown, noting that Worthington began his career with Missouri Auto Auction on the check-in strip in 2004. “He knows our business well, from the inside out, having worked his way up from C/R writer, through dealer sales to fleet/lease coordinator. He’s a brilliant multi-tasker, who manages details and relationships with equal skill, and I have every confidence that he will serve our customers well.”

“We have a great facility and outstanding staff here at Missouri Auto Auction,” said Worthington. “It’s a pleasure for me to work with the institutional accounts as a representative of the auction, knowing as I do that customer service is what sets us apart. We pride ourselves in doing all we can to make our customers’ vehicles look their best, to bring the highest return on the auction block, and I’m looking forward to proving that on a daily basis to both our current fleet/lease lease customers as well as to new ones.”

Kevin Brown noted that Justin Brown, the auction’s new dealer sales manager, has worked at Missouri Auto Auction since July of 2006. A graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia with a degree in economics and marketing, Justin went to work for the auction right after graduation as an outside sales representative.

“The fast pace of the auction business grabbed me right from the start,” Justin noted. “It’s a privilege for me to work with such a fine group of people, in a business that is both challenging and exciting. In spite of the uncertainty of today’s economy, our dealers have a positive attitude, and we’re here to work with them week in and week out to keep the business moving forward.”

“I characterize Justin as a persistent go-getter,” said Brown. “Since coming to work for us in 2006, he has shown time and again that he’s willing to learn and isn’t afraid of anything. He shows a talent for building relationships, and turning those relationships into business for the auction. As dealer sales manager, he’ll be an outstanding representative for the auction, and an effective leader for his sales team.”

Missouri Auto Auction holds a weekly consignment sale on Friday starting at 9:30 am. Missouri Auto Auction is a member of ServNet, a premier group of independent auto auctions from across the United States. The auction also participates in Auction Pipeline, where customers may view detailed condition reports, market report information and participate in online sales.
