ATLANTA – For the second consecutive year, Manheim’s Used Car Market Report (UCMR) has won the Gold Pen Award – the highest honor given by the Nashville, Tenn., chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) at its annual awards program on June 9.
This year’s award in the “technical writing” category is the second honor for the 2005 UCMR, which placed first in the research category at the Nashville chapter of the Public Relations Society of America’s 19th annual Parthenon Award competition in April.
Introduced at the NADA convention in January, the 2005 UCMR has been distributed to 52,000 dealers, analysts, and automotive professionals nationwide.
Throughout the years, the Manheim UCMR has received recognition from numerous organizations. In 2003, the Report won the IABC’s Silver Pen award and received the national first-place honor at the Clarion Awards given by the Association of Women in Communications.
The 86-page 2005 UCMR features insights, analysis, and forecasts on the remarketing industry, including commentary from Manheim Chief Economist Tom Webb and special sections on inventory management and the future of remarketing technology.
For the first time, the UCMR also included a series of case studies, each illustrating a different way remarketers have used Manheim data to find solutions to problems.
