Manheim will open six smaller auctions in areas the company views as "underserved markets," including Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, West Texas, and Utah, Manheim has announced.
The new auctions will feature multiple consignors and offer between one and four lanes. They will offer multiple sales channels, including online auctions through Simulcast and the OVE (Online Vehicle Exchange) virtual market. Services include inspection, reconditioning, financing options through NextGear Capital, and assurance services through DealShield.
"Our local and mobile strategy meets the needs of independent and franchise dealers through multiple sales channels, giving clients choices to do business when and where it serves them best," said Randy Beil, Manheim's vice president of mobile and local.
The new locations include Manheim St. Louis Gateway in Bellville, Ill.; Manheim West Texas in Lubbock, Texas; Manheim Montgomery in Montgomery, Ala.; Manheim Lilburn in Lilburn, Ga.; Manheim American Fork in American Fork, Utah; and Manheim Wilmington in Wilmington, N.C.
Manheim has begun collaborating with Rosenthal Automotive Group, a local dealer group in Chantilly, Va., to open what would be a seventh auction facility on a 4.5-acre site. The auction will include vehicles from multiple consignors.
Manheim will hire full- and part-time staff for the locations.
