ATLANTA– Manheim was recognized as a Laureate by the Computerworld Honors Program, acknowledging the success of Manheim Simulcast. The 19th Annual Laureates Medal Ceremony & Gala Awards Evening was held at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C., on June 4. For almost two decades, Computerworld Honors has honored individuals and organizations that have used information technology to benefit society.
Manheim was acknowledged as a Laureate in the Transportation category. Manheim Simulcast, launched in 2002, allows used-car buyers and sellers to participate online in live auto auction sales being held at Manheim facilities nationwide. Each week, more than 750 Manheim Simulcast sales are conducted, offering more than 120,000 vehicles. Since its formal launch in 2002, more than 1 million vehicles have been sold via Manheim Simulcast.
