Tony Markese will lead Manheim's strategic direction for its reconditioning services as its new VP of reconditioning.
In this new role, Markese will be responsible for ensuring that Manheim attracts and retains top automotive technicians across its network.
Markese's appointment to this role was driven by the company's goal of growing its quality reconditioning operations to prepare for emerging growth in the digital and mobility sectors, according to Manheim.
“Reconditioning is a significant part of our business and is growing fast as the mobility landscape shifts and new entrants come onto the scene,” said Fredrick Standfield, senior vice president, Assurance and Reconditioning, at Manheim.
Markese first joined Manheim in 1998 as controller at Manheim Orlando. He went on to serve as general manager at multiple Manheim operating locations in Florida, and in 2012 was promoted to VP, operational excellence for Manheim.
In that role he helped lead large transformational projects, according to the company. One of those projects involved the $400 million initiative to modernize Manheim's operating locations.
