Ohio’s newest Manheim operating location, Manheim Cleveland, will open March 2, 2016, with its first sale at 9:30 a.m. This will be the vehicle remarketing company’s third site in Ohio, including Manheim Cincinnati and Manheim Ohio in Grove City.

This new Cleveland location will enable Manheim to increase its footprint in the Ohio market connecting more buyers and sellers of used vehicles to its wholesale used-vehicle marketplace through physical and digital auction channels, data analysis, financing, transportation and mobile products and solutions.

“We are opening in response to requests from local dealers for an auction that serves the Cleveland market,” says Alan Lang, vice president of Manheim Local & Mobile “This demand coincides with our market intelligence that revealed the Cleveland market is under-served, presenting exciting opportunities for Manheim and dealer clients.”

Manheim Cleveland, located at 4720 Brookpark Road, will primarily service independent and small franchised dealers. Located on seven acres, the 2000-square-foot facility will feature three lanes with Simulcast and online transactions 24 hours a day, seven days a week via OVE.com. The operation will offer limited mechanical and reconditioning facilities with Post Sale Inspection (PSI) functionality. Weekly sale days will take place on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. with approximately 500 vehicles expected to run through the lanes each week.

Opening day events include dealer specials, free food, prize drawings and giveaways. In addition, Manheim Cleveland will auction a red car with proceeds going to the Cleveland Red Cross chapter. To further its support of the Red Cross, throughout the month of March—National Red Cross Month—Manheim Cleveland will make a donation for each new dealer registration at the new facility.

This new Manheim operation adds to the local economy by providing dealers needed inventory to meet revenue goals, adding part-time and full-time jobs and generating revenue from new dealers traveling to Cleveland for weekly sales.

Manheim is part of Cox Automotive, a subsidiary of Cox Enterprises which was founded in Dayton, Ohio in 1898. Cox Enterprises employs some 1,500 people in Ohio and has given more than $2 million in cash and in-kind support to Ohio-based nonprofits.
