To continue its support of the community, Manheim Louisville and its employees will host the Cruisin’ for Wishes car show and fundraiser May 16 that will benefit Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. While this is the auction’s second annual car, truck and bike show, it’s the first year it benefits the Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana chapter of Make-A-Wish.

“We are honored that Manheim Louisville and its employees have chosen to give back to Make-A-Wish through their Cruisin’ for Wishes car show,” said Alana Karl, development officer at Make-A-Wish. “Local wishes are made possible by the support of the community, and the funds raised through this event will help touch even more kids and their families with an unforgettable wish come true.”

The Cruisin’ for Wishes car show will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 16 at Manheim Louisville, a wholesale vehicle auction located at 5425 Highway 31 East in Clarksville, Ind. Registration for the car show starts at 9 a.m. Proceeds from the car show will benefit the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish. The free event is open to the public.

“I am proud of our employees for stepping up to support an organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses,” said David Kaflik, general manager Manheim Louisville. “It is such a great opportunity to help brighten the lives of these children and their families.”

The fee to showcase a classic car at the event is $15 through May 11, and $20 following the conclusion of early registration. To reserve a spot in the show, please contact Manheim Louisville’s David Saylor at 812-258-4318 or 502-639-0695.

More than 100 vehicles are expected for the show. Prizes will be awarded for Best in Show vehicle, as well as first, second and third places for individual brands including Buick, Dodge, Ford, General Motors, Oldsmobile, Plymouth and Pontiac. Trophies will be awarded at 3 p.m.

Door prizes will be awarded, raffles will be held and food will be available during the event for the attendees.
