ANKENY, IOWA – General Motors announced that Karl Chevrolet of Ankeny, Iowa, is the country’s best-selling dealership of GM Certified Used Vehicles. The dealearship is honored for a third year in a row, just four years after joining the program in 2004.
Annually, the GM Certified Used Vehicles Program honors its national sales leader. Out of 3,800 GM dealers in the program throughout the country, Karl Chevrolet came out on top selling 1,631 vehicles in 2008.
“The GM name carries a lot of weight with consumers and its new 12-month, 12,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, in addition to the 100,000 mile or five-year limited powertrain warranty, is synonymous with value and peace-of-mind.” said Carl Moyer, owner Karl Chevrolet.
GM Certified Used Vehicles sold an industry-leading 422,114 units in 2008, finishing as the nation’s top-selling manufacturer-certified brand for the seventh consecutive year.
Since Karl Chevrolet opened in 1978 in Ankeny, the dealership has also been named six time consecutive Chevrolet dealer of the year and has earned the mark of excellence for eight years in a row.
“Karl Chevrolet’s position as the national sales leader demonstrates that even in challenging economic times, it is possible for GM Certified dealers to continue to shine in sales and customer service,” said Paul Pejza, manager, GM Certified Used Vehicles.
