FORT WAYNE, IN – Indiana Auto Auction and its sister company Indiana Auto & Truck Auction have been acquired by Stanley Autenrieth Auction Group, LLC, whose principals are auto auction veterans Henry and Patty Stanley. In addition to input from the Stanley’s, day-to-day management will be led by Eric Autenrieth.
Henry and Patty Stanley are well known to the industry having owned an auction in Ohio that was sold in the 1980s to General Electric, and more recently continue to operate Carolina Auto Auction and Charleston Auto Auction both in South Carolina.
The two auction units will operate separately with Indiana Auto Auction focusing on passenger vehicles and light truck, and the Truck Auction continuing as one of the premier heavy-duty truck auctions in the country.
Indiana Auto Auction has been in business for more than 40 years, continues to be independently owned, and is a founding member of ServNet Auctions. The auction also uses the Auction Pipeline Internet platform. In conjunction with the acquisition, the former owners, the Horn family will retire from the operation and former General Manager Dale Flora will continue at the auction in an advisory capacity through the transition.
Leading the auction management team as General Manager will be Eric Autenrieth. Autenrieth comes from one of the sister facilities, Carolina Auto Auction, where over the past 10 years he has held positions in Dealer Sales, Salvage Operations, Marketing, Fleet/Lease, and most recently assistant General manager.
Auction sales are held weekly on every Thursday. Industry consulting firm TPC Management Company also represents the auction.
