The International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) will present its 2004 Circle of Excellence award to Mike Richardson, the retired CEO and president of the former ADT Automotive auction chain, which was broken up and sold to Manheim and ADESA in 2000. While working for the British Car Auctions in the UK, Richardson helped found Anglo American Auto Auctions in the U.S. in 1982, which was later acquired by ADT and then Tyco International prior to its sale to Manheim.
The 2004 Circle of Excellence Award will be presented to Richardson, who will accept the award in person, on Jan. 21, during the IARA Remarketing Roundtable Series conference to be held at the Manadalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
The IARA Circle of Excellence Award is designed to recognize an industry leader who has made outstanding contributions to the remarketing industry. The IARA presents the Award each year at its Winter IARA Remarketing Roundtable Series meeting.
