TAMPA, FL – Greater Rockford Auto Auction (GRAA) of Rockford, Ill., has selected Auction Management Solution's patented OnLine Ringman application to provide Internet bidding for its auction.
GRAA Sales/Marketing Manager Chad Anderson said the company selected AMS' patented technology because of the company's reputation and name recognition throughout the industry
Greater Rockford Auto Auction, owned by D.M. "Swede" Clark, is a 31-year-old operation that runs 1,000 cars per week. It features dealer consignment and fleet/lease accounts such as M&I Dealer Finance, GE Remarketing, and many others.
Anderson said that GRAA expects that the OnLine Ringman system, along with other marketing communications strategies, will increase the company's buyer base. "We expect to gain customers who are either too busy or too far away geographically to purchase vehicles through traditional methods," he said. "The OnLine Ringman system will create a virtual sale environment to foster additional sales."
The OnLine Ringman system integrates online bidding by closely duplicating the traditional auction experience without altering the live auction, broadening the event's range while increasing operating efficiency. Auction Management Solutions invented and patented the online auction supplement for live auctions.
Anderson remarked that GRAA buyers and consignors both would benefit from the addition of Internet bidding. "Buyers benefit from the ability to attend more auctions when their time is scarce and consignors benefit from increased bidding activity," he said.
