FRANKLIN, TN - General Motors and GMAC expanded sale locations at ServNet Auctions, reports Richard Curtis, ServNet's executive vice president of Industry Relations. With the new locations, both GM and GMAC will sponsor sales at six ServNet auctions.

"Over the past 12 months General Motors and GMAC have undergone a wholesale reevaluation of their remarketing strategies, scrutinizing their auction outlets as well as the markets they represent. We're pleased to report that GM and GMAC have added two additional ServNet auctions to their group of auction partners," said Curtis.

ServNet auctions have a long and successful history with General Motors, observed Curtis. He notes that over the past six years, ServNet auctions have received four top national rankings from the automaker: Idaho Auto Auction as Auction of the Year in 2004, State Line Auto Auction as first in the nation for Operational Excellence in 2007; and Flint Auto Auction as back-to-back winner of GM's Auction of the Year Award in 2007 and 2008. In addition to national awards, ServNet auctions have received multiple awards for regional excellence.

"ServNet auctions consistently rank among the top-performing auctions for General Motors, the nation's largest institutional seller of vehicles in the wholesale market, and GMAC, the nation's largest financer of vehicles," said Curtis.

He noted that General Motors and GMAC jointly remarket vehicles at 42 GM Sponsored Auctions sites across the country in both a "closed" and "open" sale environment. Of those 42 facilities, only 9 are independent auctions, and 6 of those independents are ServNet auctions. In addition, GMAC has a "stand-alone" sponsored sale at DAA Northwest, the ServNet auction location in Spokane, Wash.

The two new locations are: Brasher's Salt Lake Auto Auction and BSC America's Bel Air Auto Auction. They join current ServNet locations for General Motors and GMAC: Flint Auto Auction, State Line Auto Auction, Brasher's Idaho Auto Auction and Dealers Auto Auction of Oklahoma City.
