ATLANTA – Manheim’s Arena Auto Auction played host to a historic event Jan. 20 as General Motors sold its 10 millionth used vehicle at auction at the Chicago-area facility.
More than 400 dealers participated in the GM factory sale in the lanes or online via Simulcast, and Gary Cheetham, used-car manager for Bill Kay Chevrolet in Lisle, Ill. purchased the milestone vehicle, a 2004 Chevrolet Impala LS.
The auction hosted a casino-themed party the night before the sale, and all dealers in attendance were treated to a champagne toast when the milestone vehicle sold.
