DELRAY BEACH, FL — FLD, Inc., a privately held automobile remarketing company in North America, announced that Ron Sanders has been named chief executive officer. Sanders has been with FLD since 1980 and has held a variety of positions including president of acquisitions most recently.
Several internal changes will be announced in coming weeks to firm up the structure of the executive team due to the recent passing of founder and CEO Michael Sheinson. Over the last 10 years, Sheinson had left a majority of FLD’s daily operations to the management team of partners he had assembled over the last 30 years.
“FLD has a highly talented team in place, all of which have been with the company since the early ’80s,” said Laurie Conn, COO. “I’m excited to be a part of this executive team, and we look forward to announcing more internal promotions in the coming weeks.”
Sanders has spent his entire professional career at FLD. After graduating from California State University, he was hired by Sheinson. He entered the business as a condition report writer and driver. Over the years he has become an industry visionary. His work with data mining and successful use of price models has propelled FLD to a leadership position in remarketing.
