Enterprise Holdings and Enterprise Fleet Management increased revenue 8.1% to $20.9 billion for the 2016 fiscal year for its rental and fleet management businesses, the privately-held company has announced.
For the fiscal year that ended July 31, Enterprise Holdings grew its overall fleet size to 1.9 million owned vehicles and expanded its network to more than 9,600 rental locations, including the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent-A-Car brands.
Enterprise Fleet Management increased its revenue by 12% by expanding its customer base in more than 50 locations in the U.S. and Canada. The affiliate now manages more than 430,000 vehicles in North America for companies, government agencies, and organizations with medium-sized fleets.
Enterprise operates in more than 85 countries and territories. Enterprise Fleet Management was spun off from Enterprise Holdings in the 2012 fiscal year.
"We at Enterprise Holdings are proud of our leadership role in the car rental, travel and automotive industries," said Pamela Nicholson, president and CEO of Enterprise Holdings. "Every single day, Enterprise, National and Alamo employees put customers first regardless of whether the rental is across town or halfway around the world."
In July, the company lost founder Jack Taylor, who died in St. Louis after a short illness at 94. A year ago, the company increased revenue to $19.4 billion.
