In addition to the Second Class Group, Auction Academy will simultaneously open enrollment to independent auto auction operators and financial executives who have interest in participating in an Auction Performance Group (APG) (20 Group-Style) program, with a focus on financial benchmarking.Auction Academy provides a two-year training and development experience for automotive auction professionals, structured like an Executive MBA program. With faculty drawn from expert practitioners around the country, Auction Academy’s programs are designed to enhance essential skill sets, promote best practices, and yield better auction performance. The curriculum includes site visits, field trips and work with industry experts in all areas of auction operations.

“While a person seeking to build skills in auction management and operations can get some training through various industry conferences, there is no formal, rigorous mechanism for academic learning that we believe would be valuable to the industry,” said Randall McCathren, Auction Academy COO. “In addition to offering essential academic material, Auction Academy provides the hands-on experience that is needed to run an auction in today’s increasingly complex and competitive environment.”
