Dealer's Auto Auction Sets IARA Record
A record-setting eight employees graduated from the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) Certified Automotive Remarketer (CAR) program.

David Andrews, CEO of City Enterprises, LLC announced that Dealer’s Auto Auction has graduated a total of eight of their employees to the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) Certified Automotive Remarketer (CAR) Program.
“It was a complete pleasure to grade exams … resulting in all eight of you completing the rigorous 20 module curriculum of the IARA Certified Automotive Remarketer program.” Sutton continued, “And to graduate eight gives Dealers Auto Auction the auction company with the most Certified Automotive Remarketers!”
Certified Automotive Remarketer Mark Hopkins, National Fleet Lease Manager with Dealer’s Auto Auctions supervised the IARA certification process for the other seven DAA graduates that include: Amanda Hutchens (DAA Corporate); Missy McCormack (DAA Huntsville); Nicki McCoy (DAA Murfreesboro); Christi Willis (DAA Memphis); Lauren Taylor (DAA Mobile), Donna Phillips and Karen McKinney (DAA Chattanooga).
Tony Long, IARA’s Executive Director commended the Dealer’s Auto Auction students: “Congratulations to all eight of you! Someday you will look back at this accomplishment and be able to say you were one of the first 101 graduates of IARA’s CAR certification. This puts you in a very elite class of professionals who have demonstrated commitment to your profession. In addition, it is proof positive of your company’s support of the IARA and its mission of promoting the remarketing industry.”
The IARA CAR Program offers a 20-course curriculum scheduled within a five-unit series covering all aspects of the vehicle remarketing profession.
“The IARA provides us with a number of valuable education forums and initiatives that benefit auctions and remarketers alike,” said Andrews. “I am very proud that so many of our employees took this opportunity to educate themselves, and am certain this certification will ultimately strengthen our business, and our industry.”
Before signing up for any of the curriculum modules offered in the CAR program (Remarketing Channels, Pre-Sale Activities, Actual Sale Activities, Post-Sale Activities and Legal, Ethics and Terminology), candidates must have a minimum of three consecutive years experience in the vehicle remarketing industry.
IARA Executive Director Tony Long asserts, “The IARA certification program provides its’ candidates the opportunity to achieve higher levels of industry knowledge through a comprehensive program that encompasses all aspects of the remarketing industry.”
