ATLANTA – Manheim and CUDL (CU Direct Corp.), which administers the Credit Union Direct Lending (CUDL) program, a point-of-sale and indirect lending network for credit unions, will partner to present the second-annual Auto Remarketing Conference for Credit Unions.

The conference, which will take place March 7-9, at Manheim’s DRIVE Center in Atlanta, is intended for finance and collections staff, offering a broad but detailed look at the remarketing industry and providing insight to how credit unions can best leverage their remarketing programs.

The conference offers presentations by remarketing industry experts and hands-on sessions, in which credit union attendees can experience a real-world remarketing environment. Last year’s inaugural conference was well received by attendees and organizers alike, as credit union representatives from more than 35 credit unions participated in the three-day event.

The conference agenda features several educational opportunities aimed to help credit unions maximize vehicle value.

Session topics include:

  • Value of the Auction: an informative insider’s look at how to utilize the auction process to maximize vehicle returns.

  • The Book on Vehicle Values: key insight to how vehicle values are derived.

  • Vehicle Reconditioning: how the presentation of a vehicle to the wholesale market can directly affect valuation and returns.

  • EasyStep Remarketing: benefits from utilizing a one-stop solution with a managed remarketing program.

Beyond participating in the presentations and sessions offered, credit union representatives will also have the opportunity to tour Manheim’s Atlanta Auto Auction and experience a live auction sale, where thousands of vehicles are bought and sold as they roll through auction lanes.

Featured speakers at this year’s event include several well-recognized industry experts, including: Mike McKinney, vice president of customer relations and strategies for Manheim; Mark Coleman, co-founder and president of TitleAuctions; Lynn Morgan, vice president of Manheim Consulting; and Freddy Hall, director of business development, Black Book.

The conference venue, Manheim DRIVE (Development, Research, Innovation, Vision, Excellence) Center, is a 145,000-square-foot research and development facility that serves as a test and concept center for new technologies and processes, and as a forum to inspire collaboration and out-of-the-box thinking in the automotive industry.

Through its partnership with CUDL, Manheim is the preferred provider for managing the back end of participating credit union portfolios. CUDL also provides its clients access to Manheim’s educational and remarketing training tools and offers the leverage to consolidate vehicles at auction to provide sellers improved run times.
