IRVINE, CA - Recognizing strong partnerships and solid auction performance, Consumer Portfolio Services is proud to continue its Auction Recognition Program by acknowledging the best auctions in the categories of Best retention, Best Fleet Lease Department, and Best Auction Overall - High and low volume sales.

In determining the winner in each category, all aspects of the liquidation process are taken into consideration starting with the transportation process, title issues, recon, and customer service, to the sale of the vehicle, and recovery rates.

This year the winners are:

Best Auction Overall High Volume:  ADESA Lexington

For the last four years, the ADESA Lexington auction has been a consistent top performer for CPS. In 2011, it finished second in retention, but the total package that this auction provides was enough to earn them it first in the Best Overall Auction award. According to CPS, "General Manager Jason Martin and Fleet Lease Manager Vince McNeal have done an outstanding job for our account. Issues, if any, are handled quickly and they always have the client's best interest at heart. Our fleet lease coordinator Lindsey Jett is also a very valued asset to us and the auctions success by providing great customer service."

Best Retention:  North Bay Auto Auction

North Bay Auto Auction headed up by General Manger David Aahl and Assistant General Manager Greg Straw ended the 2011 year with an impressive 91.22 percent average of book value. Through challenging inventory and a tough market, they personally worked closely with the remarketer for CPS and ensured its lanes were filled with a variety of wholesalers and dealers to purchase the vehicles for the highest dollar possible. This dedication and personal attention helped them earn the award for Best Retention in 2011 from CPS.

Best Fleet Lease Department:  Manheim Central Florida

For the third time, Manheim Central Florida and its Fleet Lease department, diligently working together as a team, were again successful in being the number one Fleet Lease department in 2011 for CPS. Its hard work was widely noticed by the Remarketer and Liquidations Specialist at CPS. "Congratulations to General Managers Tony Markese and Butch Herdegen, Assistant General Manager Ellen Westpfahl, and the entire staff at Central Florida. From transportation to reconditioning to sale day, Manheim Central Florida does an excellent job. Exceptional recognition is merited to Operations Manager Brian Fackler and Fleet Lease coordinator Kellie Moscoso for their client dedication and in making their Fleet Lease department successful for CPS to sell the vehicles at the maximum market value," according to CPS.

Best Auction Overall Low Volume sale: Manheim Portland

From strong recovery rates, 97.10 percent of average book value, to great customer service, Manheim Portland consistently strives to be the best in all aspects of the remarketing process for CPS. In 2011, this sale was remotely handled by CPS and the General Manager Jim Mumford and Assistant General Manager Casey Holyk have done a great job of instilling confidence with CPS on the entire auction operation. "Along with them, Josh Flack, the fleet lease manager, also deserves recognition for the success of the business relationship with CPS. Josh has done a fantastic job of communicating openly with everyone at CPS and efficiently resolving any issues or concerns. All employees within CPS who have dealt with the auction have expressed complete satisfaction with them," according to CPS.
