AUBURN HILLS, MI – Chrysler Group reported that sales of its Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles (CPOV) rose 9 percent to 9,188 units in February 2005, according to the Web site, www.autospectator.com/. The sales total for February establishes a new February record for CPOV unit sales and continues the record setting pace that Chrysler Group CPOV sales have established. Year-to-date sales of CPOV vehicles were a record 17,290 units, an increase of 15 percent over 2004 sales of 15,062 units last year.
Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle sales for Chrysler brand products were 2,843 units in February, an increase of 25 percent over the 2,273 units sold last year. The Jeep brand posted an increase of 13 percent to 2,019 units versus 1,719 units sold in February 2004. The Dodge brand posted flat year-over-year results with 4,326 units sold, but 15 percent higher than January 2005 results of 3,764 units.
