IRVINE, CA – To recognize strong partnerships and solid auction performance, Consumer Portfolio Services is continuing its Auction Recognition Program by acknowledging the best auctions in each of the following categories: Best retention, Best Fleet Lease Department, and Best Auction Overall.
In determining the winner in each category, all aspects of the liquidation process were taken into consideration, from the drop-off process, title issues, reconditioning, and customer service, to the sale of the vehicle and recovery rates.
This year the winners are as follows:
Best Retention: Adesa Lexington
Adesa Lexington is the recipient of this award for the second consecutive year. They continue to perform well and provide the best recovery rates. Even during this challenging year in the industry, Jason Martin(GM), Chad Hall (AGM), and Vince McNeal (Fleet/Lease manager), were still able sell our vehicles for an average of 92.9 percent of book value.
Best Fleet Lease Department: Manheim Darlington
Under the leadership of Joey Hughes (GM), Matt Laughridge (AGM), Marty Rohde (AGM) and Shannon Adams (Fleet Lease Manager), the employees at Manheim Darlington work collectively as a team which plays a large part in their success as an auction for CPS. Some of the processes we attribute to their success for us are their ability to get the collateral picked up timely thereby reducing storage expenses, and there are no continuing transportation issues.
Best Auction Overall: ABC Birmingham
From the outside lot crew and mechanics to our lease coordinator and sales team, Jim Phillips (owner) along with Russ Sapp (GM) and Sherry Weaver (Fleet Coordinator) have built a team that has consistently shown success for us thereby winning the CPS Best Auction Overall for the second year in a row! This auction continuously excels by producing consistent recovery rates and outstanding customer service in all aspects of the liquidation process. They are proactive in maintaining a successful partnership that benefits the auction and CPS.
